Located deep within the pristine rainforest near the town of Unitedville in Belize’s eco-tourism heartland, the Amber Sunset Jungle Resort is the perfect Belize jungle resort to enjoy modern comfort and conveniences in a lovely natural setting.
The Amber Sunset Jungle Resort is situated on 28 acres of privately-owned pristine rainforest where tropical birds flit through the trees and exotic wildlife flourishes. Guest accommodations are in the form of five luxury treehouses that include a screened-in verandah for a uniquely immersive experience. Crafted from locally sourced hardwoods, river stones, and other sustainable materials, our thatched-roof tree houses are the perfect place to relax and unwind after exploring the many wonders of Belize.
The Amber Sunset Jungle Resort opened for business on February 20, 2012, designed by native Belizeans to give guests a unique way to experience the beauty of nature while enjoying all of the modern comforts of home. The resort is perfectly located close to all of the top attractions in Belize’s Cayo District, including bird watching, canoeing, horseback riding, exploring ancient Maya ruins, and browsing the colorful wares on sale at the nearby San Ignacio market.
The Amber Sunset Jungle Resort currently has five luxury treehouses, each named for one of the ethnic groups in Belize, and there are plans to build another 10 treehouses over the following decade. There are many unique resorts to choose from in Belize, but the owners of the Amber Sunset Jungle Resort want to offer something beyond luxury accommodations and world-class customer service; they want to share the love that they have for the beauty and wonder with Belize with visitors from around the world. At the Amber Sunset Jungle Resort, every guest is welcomed as family.
Amber Sunset is a locally-owned and operated resort. During his second year at Galen University in Belize, the owner of Amber Sunset realized that there were very limited choices available for travelers wanting to stay in a Belize jungle resort in Cayo District. After a lengthy search, a privately owned property near the village of Unitedville became available, but it had no access road, electricity, or sewage connection. But the gorgeous view of the nearby Spanish Lookout Valley and the pristine rainforest setting made it the perfect place for the owners to build the Amber Sunset Jungle Resort.
Today, visitors can enjoy a world-class Belize resort experience deep within the jungles of western Belize. We look forward to welcoming you to our little slice of paradise!
